Hi all, I am Shivam from India working in Kuala Lumpur and my fiancee is a local from sabah. I just want to say that if you really wants to see real Malacca you have to see this Heritage hotels first than begin your journey, I was in this hotel on my 2012 new year and i think it was wonderful experience for me. And just want to say thanks to the family(owner of this place) for giving us a pleasure of staying in home away from home.

Dear Chris,Wendy and Cindy thank you for having us over Christmas and also during the Lunar New Year Period. We are happy to have discovered Cyclmen and also staying with you. Thank you for the clean beds, the working air-conditioning and hot water showers. Chris, thank you for the tour of your antiques and the wealth of knowledge you possess. BTW all the planst which you gave us is blooming well in our graden. We will soon meet up again. Take care

Hi Chris, Cindy & Wendy
Would like to take this opportunity to say a BIG thank you for the great hospitality and wonderful home-stay place for us. Our group really enjoyed and liked the place very much. I personally like the sense of homing feel, plus the furniture and decoration you all had for the cottage, make me recall back a lot of my granny's collections for the past. It is a very heritage and so warmth. It is such a wonderful and memorable experience to me and as well as for the rest. Also, thank you in recommending us the ever best Peranakan food & tim-sum in town. It is the place we would come back again!

Hello Cindy/Wendy/Chris/Andrew it's been nearly a year since I saw you guys at Cyclamen during the X'mas holiday, how are you guys. It's wonderful to see Cyclamen had at last got the publicity it should have gotten due to the uniqueness of the location, restoration as well a maintaining most of it original structure which you guys had done a wonderful job. I hope the state govt will put Cyclamen as a site which all tourist must see when they are in Melaka. Anyway i will be coming to Melaka cum this X'mas holiday which is our usually ritual & i hope you could reserve a beautiful room for us & a nice b'fast whereby your spicy Nasi Lemak should be in the menu. What makes a good holiday???? Convenience and comfort (most times).... but when you get excellent service.... it just makes your holiday perfect. Cyclamen offers great accomodation, food and service.

the rooms are lovely and bright.....
the people who work there and own the place are lovely..... very friendly, helpful and hospitable.....

I had an excellent weekend...... Thank you all at cyclamen!

Back to visit Malacca after 60 years gap so welcomed the chance to stay in a lovely old building that predated my last visit. Welcome could not have been better. The owner came to Tampin to meet our train and waited one hour for its belated arrival! Took us all over Malacca to revisit places we knew and try to find our old house - we didn't - too many new developments. The old town was lovely with many interesting old buildings to visit. The food was excellent and our experience there was just what I was looking for, so much better than the huge high rise impersonal hotels that tour operators put forward for our trip. Would highly recommend (and have done already) this to anyone doing a trip round the Malaysian peninsula, along with our lovely L Residence in Singapore and Lakehouse in Cameron Highlands. Our first stay at this cottage was a very memorable one. The warm, clean and nostagic atmosphere gives us the feeling of staying at home. It's very convenient getting around to the Jonker Walk and Mahkota areas. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends in the future.

3 of us from Singapore stayed at the lovely place & thoroughly enjoy our stay. Cindy is efficient & Mr Lee from the hotel/cottage is simply superb - helpful, chatty / knowledgeable & offered us many good recommendation on where to go, what to eat & also engage with us very good conversation. The pricings is very reasonable & the breakfast was above average. Cleanliness is excellent. We certainly pass words around to our friends on this nice place - to golf, to eat or simply relax & soak into the history/culture. Well done !
